So, maybe you met someone special online, or got asked out by someone you know. Either way, the first date is so stressful. Me, personally, I plan pretty much everything DAYS before, and due to the stress and worry, and of course excitement, it changes up till the minute I see my date. So, one day I decided to come up with a ‘list’ of things I should do to set my mind at ease. This has helped me relax before that nerve-wracking date, and I am positive it will help you as well.

Do some homework. If you are finally meeting up with that person that you have been communicating online for some time now, take a look at the chat history between the two of you. Brush up on important things you may have forgotten, or get ideas of subject you want to talk more about in person. In addition, if you are like me, you do not keep up with the current evens, so do a little bit of news browsing. This just gives you more things to discuss and helps you avoid that dreadful awkward silence.
Get active. Working out is not only beneficial to your health, but it makes you feel good as a person as well. You may have already decided on your most flattering outfit, which you plan to wear, but if you feel good, you will look good. You will walk with confidence and confidence is something that is very attractive by itself. In addition, make sure you stay very well hydrated and well rested, since this also affects our appearance.
Set aside more that one outfit. As I said, you may already be thinking of what you plan to wear, but I suggest you take it out of the closet and look at it. This way you avoid any issues such as stains right before the date. I also suggest you pick our more than one outfit. Yes, that maybe your favorite outfit, and the one you think you look best in, but when the day finally comes you may decide you just are not feeling it. You do not want to end up going crazy and emptying out your entire closet right before the date.
Groom yourself. Ladies, get a manicure, pedicure and a wax if you do not shave, the day before the date. Men, make sure you aren’t in need of a quick trim or haircut. Then the day of, take a long, relaxing shower, style your hair and add a small amount of perfume or cologne. The couple enjoying dinner beside you should not have to smell you, but you should smell good for your date. In addition, ladies do not put on pounds and pounds of make-up. Men, generally, do not like a caked up girl and you want to look the same as you would without make-up, since if things work out, eventually he WILL see you nude faced. Nevertheless, use make-up to extenuate your beauty.
Be optimistic and on time. You want to be on time, maybe even a few minutes early. Do not keep your date waiting because this can send a wrong message, already ruining the date. In addition stay positive. Remember you are there to have fun and enjoy each others company.
